The 2024 CMEA Summit in Hangzhou, China

It has been nearly four weeks since the 2024 CMEA summit drew its curtain, and we all said goodbye to each other. I am just now starting to process the week we spent together.

Laughter!

There was so much laughter, from the teachers to the participants! Everywhere I turned my head, I saw smiles; every time I stopped and listened, I heard laughter.

Brilliant Teaching. All professors, all nationalities, all expertise, all styles of teaching...

Enthusiastic participants: over 500 registered participants plus demonstration choirs. We sang, we moved, we conducted, we analysed, we cried, and we laughed a lot!

The center of Choral Music Education is the STUDENTS. Let's create a space where they can explore not just music, but themselves; let's provide a safe place for them to release their energy in expressing themselves; let's reserve some time and listen to their heart's song...
